Riding Floors was established in 1970 by David Wallace. David set out to build a business based on delivering outstanding customer service and first class workmanship. From day one we have committed to understanding a client’s individual needs rather than the ‘one size fits all’ approach that has become all too common. This genuine understanding and our flexible approach have allowed us to build long standing relationships with our clients. Many have been with us for several decades and much of our work comes from the recommendations of happy customers.
In 2009 Chris was joined by Danny Ambler, who became a Director of the company in November 2013 and a shareholder in January 2019. Jayne Wallace, Chris’s wife, is the Finance Director.
We are proud to be a family business. David Wallace’s son, Chris, succeeded him as Managing Director. In 2016 Chris’s son, Tim Wallace, became the third generation to join Riding Floors.
Chris, Danny and Tim all manage their own clients and workloads, from conception to completion. Our team of fitters are employed directly and have their own liveried Riding Floors company vehicles. Every fitter is fully NVQ 2 trained, and have many years of experience between them.
We invest in apprentices and provide them with the best training possible. They are our future. We recruit apprentices directly from local schools and offer fantastic job opportunities to the right candidates.
